Abstract
It seems clear to me that an awaking of the religions to their responsibility towards the salvation of the natural environment would be a particularly principal factor in developing environmental awareness in society. Together with ongoing democratization such awareness could build up ever more pressure that would force existing powers to begin to really do something about saving the environment.
