Abstract
Agama pada umumnya dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang baik. Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI) tahun 1989, merumuskan demikian "kepercayaan kepada Tuhan (dewa dsb.) dengan ajaran kebaktian dan kewajiban -kewajiban yang bertalian dengan kepercayaan itu: - Islam; - Kristen; - Buddha; ...". Sedangkan Kamus Bahasa Inggris Oxford merumuskan agama (religion) sebagai (i) belief in the existence of god or gods, esp. the belief that they created the universe and gave the human beings a spiritual nature which continues to exist, after the death of the body; (ii) a particular system of faith and worship based on a belief (Christian, Jewish, Hindu religion - practice one's religion).
