Abstract

The classical problem on the dogma of Trinity is the relationship between one and multiple. Having considered this classical difficulty, Gisbert Greshake, a Germany contemporary Catholic theologian, in dialogue with some classic and modem authors, proposes a new perspective based on concept of communion (Latin: communio ). Being is to-be-with, being-with-others, interconnectedness, in short: communion. God in Himself is not one immutable Monad, but Life that shares of itself, communion. In this world• view, the supremacy given the one substance in theological thinking gives way to a more personal, communication-oriented thinking. A person-centered take on the horizon of thought and human experience would displace the cosmocentric thinking of antiquity. On the aspect of communion, the writer interprets a Medieval theologian as Bonaventure's theology of Trinity. The main goal of this study is to underliend that the divine nature due to its simplicity can be communicated and can be in several. The more communicable (regarding the difference) something is the greater the unity it attains. Where the most perfect Act is ( actus purus ), there should also be the most perfect communication. In other words, perfection in Being, Being-as-real, is in the long run identical to communion. This perspective offers a new interpretation on theology, particularly in its anthropological and ecclesiological dimension, and as consequence, cosmological aspect.
